It’s been a very busy week for me. I’ve been taking a pine needle basketry class at Adult Art Camp in Hammond. I already knew the basics, but I actually finished a basket this time. I’ll take some pics and post them later.
His supports coordinator called this week to introduce herself. She was nice to talk to and was very supportive. She says Chris will have full time supervision for the first year after leaving Pinecrest and that after the first year, if he still needs that level of care,it can be justified. That makes us feel so much better.
The next step is for interviews to be set up for us to speak with prospective providers. Chris’s team from Pinecrest will bring him here so he can take part in the interviews. I’ll be compiling a list of questions to ask each one.
Don and I met with someone at TARC in Hammond regarding supervised living for Chris. We are going to use one provider for his vocational needs and a different provider for supervised living. The meeting was productive and we’ll make sure TARC is on the list for an interview.
I don’t plan to visit with any other providers prior to the interview date.
Keep us in your prayers.
