Oh, For Heaven’s Sake!

Do you see this?  If I *wanted* to make eyelashes….no way could I do it!

Ugh!!!! The scourge of the dreaded eyelashies.

Now, see this:

Mustache Trimmer/Shaver

If you put this to these:

You very quickly get this:

And with a few flicks of the fingernail, you have this:

In less than 5 minutes, I got rid of about 15 inches of eyelashes by using the mustache trimmer/shaver.  It would probably have taken me an hour to pick it out by hand…not to mention the backache.

My dear friend Wanda uses one to un-sew seams.  She just holds it between the 2 pieces of fabric and zips through those stitches.  Why did I wait so long to get one of these little gizmo’s????

I’m still learning, Pat. I’m so far behind that I think I’m ahead…just not enough hours in the day. Kathy Quilts has a great DVD that shows how to load quilts and there are several good YouTube video’s. Just do a search for “loading quilt on frame”. If you’re on HomeQuiltingSystems yahoo group, they have really good info in the files. Be sure to check the links page also.

I told you that it was too easy to unsew with these unsewers. But I would not have thought to unsew a top. mmmmm, I have a baby quilt that I stopped quilting on, I wonder????

I bet you could. It’s amazing how fast it zips those eyelashes off!

  5. Sheryl,
Love the BOM quilt! I have tried to upload the widget to my blog, but it doesn’t come through. Currently using a copy of your pic but would much prefer the widget. Any thoughts on what to do?
    Thanks,
    Kathleen

All the details are on the BOM page. There is a link in the left column that will take you to that page.
